Oxford based artist, born 1962. Studied Fine Art at Gloucestershire University 1994 - 97. Recently held highly successful one man show at Oxford University Press. Otherwise exhibited at 'The Craftsmen's Gallery', 'Taurus', 'Temple Crest'.
Over these past few years, I've experimented with a number of media and techniques, latterly using computers to compose collages from scanned ephemera. This is where I've found most success - all my current work is created in this way. Artistically, I try to operate at a midway point between the fleeting and the lasting. My 'subject matter' - the plethora of printed matter that surrounds us, beguiles us but is ultimately disposable, has exactly the malleable quality I'm looking for to serve me in this project. I believe that for art to work it needs to be caught in progress rather than finished. I hope this lends my work freshness and immediacy.
